For the first time in 17 years of CSWC history, Britain has a World Champion.

And we couldn't be prouder to say that he's one of our own.

On Tuesday, 8th September, we invite you to join us at the Surrey Cigars Lounge for a very special evening as we welcome home the 2026 CSWC World Champion, George Stansfield.

George is a familiar face and regular here at the lounge, so watching his extraordinary journey through this year's Cigar Smoking World Championship has been particularly special for all of us at Surrey Cigars.

And what a journey it has been.

After winning a British pre-qualifier, George went on to finish second in the UK National Championship, earning a wildcard entry to the CSWC Grand Finale in Dubrovnik.

There, competing against some of the world's most experienced slow smokers, George produced an extraordinary performance.

2 hours, 32 minutes and 50 seconds.

That was enough to secure first place and make George Stansfield the first British CSWC World Champion in the competition's 17-year history.

Even more remarkably, George only took up smoking cigars around a year ago.

So we think a proper Surrey Cigars welcome home is in order.

There is no competition this time. No stopwatch. No worrying about the ash. Just an evening among friends and fellow cigar enthusiasts celebrating an achievement that has made British cigar history.
